Fishing Locations and Hot Spots in Cocoa Beach

Florida's Fishing Hot Spots and Secret Destinations

Saturday March 17, 2018

Locations and fishing spots like Cocoa Beach's thousand islands, barge canal, no-motor-zone, Canaveral locks, docks, islands, flats and channels are so abundant that it's often hard to choose where to go and what to do.

Locating fish can be a lot easier if you have a local taking you out for a day of fishing. Lagooner fishing guides have years of experience fishing, swimming and wading the shallow waters of the Banana River Lagoon and Indian River Lagoon around Merritt Island and Kennedy Space Center.

"I've grown up all my life around Cocoa Beach and it's saltwater lagoons and when I had summer break, I bet I was in the briny waters around Brevard County ninety percent of the time." Explains Merritt Island native Captain Richard Bradley.

It's difficult to find the fish for most people, but your chances of hooking up on a good fishing spot and locating the fish are increased substantially when you hire a good guide to take you to the best fishing locations in East Central Florida.

We do have the world's best fishing guides available in the Space Coast area and it shows. Simply take a look at our photographs and satisfied customers.

"Captain Richard took me and my honey out for a day on the Banana River Lagoon and showed us the best fishing areas and locations. I couldn't imagine a more wonderful day!" another satisfied customer

Fishing Forecast

March - 2018 Fishing Forecast

March of 2017 produced some great inshore fishing for many of the spring breakers that visited Central Florida and took advantage of the Florida Sunshine and outdoors. Spring Break of 2018 should be a great March for vacationers on their Holiday from college and work as they prepare for some action on the Mosquito Lagoon, Indian River and if the winds stay calm enough to even venture offshore out of Port Canaveral. Look for cobia to show up in March if the water temps hover around 70° and the ocean remains calm enough to sight fish for these hard fighting and great tasting coastal fish. If the water temps are a little too cool there will be plenthy of inshore action to keep most anglers busy.

Inshore and Offshore Charter Fishing near Orlando and Cocoa Beach, Florida. Catch redfish, sea trout, tarpon, snook and many other saltwater gamefish aboard the world famous Lagooner flats fishing boat with renowned Captain Richard Bradley.

My wife and I have been on several trips with Captain Richard and have always had a great time and have usually caught a lot of fish, and would have had a wonderful day on the water even if we would not have been so lucky. I would recommend Lagooner to anyone wanting a fun day out fishing.
